Denis-Plants, located in Destelbergen, is a family-owned company specialising in the weaning of young plants. Denis-Plants guarantees quality and service. Our years of experience and continuous use of the most advanced technology guarantee impeccable young plants of the finest quality. Denis-Plants offers a wide range of young blossoming and non-blossoming hothouse plants. For years, the company has focused on exclusive cultivars of Calathea, Spathiphyllum and Ficus. Besides these houseplants, the company also weans tissue cultures of perennial plants and orchids. On the occasion of the Floralies of Ghent, Denis-Plants will unveil its newest innovation: The Bicajoux®. The newcomer will be presented to the general public after 10 years of research in cooperation with the Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Research (ILVO) and with the support of the Agency for Innovation by Science and Technology (IWT).

Double the floricultural value
What makes this plant unique is its double floricultural value, hence the word ‘bi’ in its name. A ravishing inflorescence combined with remarkable leaf markings ensure that the consumer has double floricultural enjoyment.
The range includes both larger and smaller varieties. The various colour schemes and leaf markings make it easy for anyone to find something to his or her liking. The Bicajoux range includes the Mamba Pink, Mamba White, Cobra Pink, Anaconda Green and Anaconda Pink. The plant will blossom for numerous months in a row, and the inflorescences are highly durable. The bushy foliage and striking leaf markings render the plant highly attractive, even without flowers.

A showstopper in your living room
The ‘ca’ part of its name indicates that these plants are part of the Calathea familie, a shade-loving plant group. This makes the Bicajoux® a magnificent showstopper, be it in the middle of the living room or in a shaded corner.

The innovation is marketed by Lochristi-based Denis-Plants bvba and is available as of now. The Bicajoux® is produced exclusively by JSV Plant, Kwekerij Tass and TeVreede Plant. The plant was already awarded the Florall Award at the 2008 Florall fair in Ghent under the working title of ‘Casual XL’.
